Yes, even though Avatar: The Last Airbender was a tv show long before Cameron’s Avatar and despite the fact that Cameron stole the idea for Avatar from a couple of 50s Sci Fi writers as well as blatantly ripping off movies like The Matrix, Gladiator, Aliens, and others, he sued to have them remove the Avatar name from The Last Airbender.
