Did they miss something at hatteras?
As much as I love Hatteras for great windsurfing and kiteboarding, the fall is no guarantee for wind everyday. When you get it in the fall it is usually epic, but it’s usually not there everyday. Check out the archives for ikitesurf.com for October in Avon or Frisco or Waves and you’ll see what I mean. Although the wind probably blows more consistently in the spring, the water temperature and air temperature is much colder and therefore you usually hear about more people wanting to go there in the fall. Especially if they have to bring their wife and kids. The only absolute lock for strong wind everyday that I’ve seen is Aruba in June.
