Did the Yankees lineup go from the best in the league to the worst with all these injuries?

I considered them the best, because they were the best last season (led the league in every significant offensive category) and came back with the same lineup. They have started out slow this year, have not hit in the clutch and have had a bunch of injuries. They have only been able to trot out their “A” lineup twice this year. I still wouldn’t call them the worst. They are more middle of the pack, considering their injuries, and their performance in the first 28 games. Guys like Cano, Giambi, Jeter, Damon have yet to really start hitting. The lost of Arod and Posada are big blows, but they have enough hitters to get by, as long as their pitching holds up. I’m not really worried about the hitting to tell you the truth. By the end of the year, the Yankees will end up as one of the top 5 offenses, as usual.
