Did the women have special clothes for different events in the middles ages?
The styling of medieval women’s clothes was based heavily upon the status of the person. Nuns and peasants dressed simply, while women of the higher classes flaunted their wealth with clothing done up in expensive dyes, embroidery and furs. Women wore special clothing to denote such events as being in mourning, and wore their most fanciful clothes to events such as jousts and religious holiday celebrations.
