Did the Veterans Administration (VA) provide health care for veterans dependents?

Health care is provided through the VA in a program called CHAMP-VA, for those who qualify. If you don’t see a pediatrician at the VA don’t panic, the VA contracts certain services out because it is more cost effective, they have done so for other services, such as Mammograms, dental and other specialties that they may not provide on a large enough scale to make it cost effective to do at the VA or may be so overwhelmed that they need to contract out so the vets can get the services in a timely manner.
