Did the Vancouver Canucks have another name?
Sorry to whoever it was that said the Vancouver Canucks were originally the Vancouver Millionaires – the Vancouver Canucks have always been the Vancouver Canucks. They started play in the WHL. The Vancouver Millionaires were long defunct before the Canucks came into being and they had no affiliation with the Canucks in any way, apart from being in the same city. That said, in October 2010, the Canucks bought everything that still exists of the Millionaires, including logos, uniforms, pictures and everything that had anything to do with the Millionaires. As for the Millionaires, most of the team became involved with the Victoria Cougars, coaching, training and owning the franchise.
