Mark your calendars! December 21, 2009 is now ‘University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks Day’. Governor Jim Doyle Monday honored the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks Football Team for winning the NCAA Division III National Championship. It is the second time in three years that the team has taken the title. “Wisconsin has a great university system, and I want to congratulate the UW-Whitewater Football Team for their long tradition of excellence, their undefeated season and their national championship. I applaud not only these accomplishments, but their hard work and determination as student-athletes. This is a team that clearly knows how to stay focused and play to the end.
