Did the US Army Ask Soldier Paul Epley to Assassinate Martin Luther King, Jr?
Paul Epley was a good soldier in the US army. At 18 years old, he joined the army, wanting nothing more than to fight for his country. He broke his ankle during basic training, and was going to be discharged. But, he begged and pleaded to be allowed to remain a soldier, and he was. As long as he promised to follow ALL ORDERS he was given WITHOUT QUESTION. He agreed. And in the years that followed, he claims he was ordered to carry out many assassinations. On numerous occasions, he was instructed to kill a prisoner of war who was attempting to escape. He would shoot the person, then roll him into a trench and throw in a grenade to make it look like a combat death. Mr. Epley also claims that he was taught how to fly a plane, but not how to land it. His mission was to crash the plane into an island, and to bail out before the crash. He said as he went to jump out of the plane, he saw several Korean prisoners bound in the cargo section.
