Did the Treaty of Versailles bring an end to the First World War?

The short answer is yes, the ToV did end the first world war. Yes it caused a lot of other problems and other wars but WW1 wasn’t the first war ever fought People who use the argument ‘It caused the second world war, it caused war in the Balkans it is the root of all modern wars and so WW1 never ended’ are not making much sense. If that were the case then it could be said that the first world war was simply a continuation and escalation of the Franco-Prussian war of 1870 -71, and also said that that war was caused by the Peace of Prague in 1866 following the Austro-Prussian war itself caused by the Napoleonic wars. Following this argument, all wars can be attributed to a time when one ape hit another ape with a rock millions of years ago.
