I’ll give you a simple answer. Rich people don’t work for money. Money works for them. This has always been the case and always will be. Most people get paid by the hour, or in effect, sell their time. This is all they know. But, there are only 24 hours in a day so selling your time limits what you can earn. And for most people, being self employed means no more than owning a job. So while there may be advantages in being self employed in a traditional business, there is a limit to what you can do physically. The secret to making money is in the system itself. So rich people use systems to become richer. This is why you cannot get rich working for someone else. This is why most financially successful people didn’t go to college or university.
