Did the prophet Enoch design the great pyramids of Egypt?
No. Enoch lived long before the Israelites were in Egypt. Joseph did not design or build them either. Joseph was an administrative assistant to the Pharoah, probably a pharoah of the third dynasty. We don’t know his name. And the pyramids were not built by “Hebrew slaves”, movies to the contrary, or any other slaves. They were built by native Egyptians. And the workers were paid…and paid very well. We have records of payments to the workers. And they had medical care. We know they had doctors (physicians)who were always there to treat any accidents or other problems the workers had. It was a national project. They were more than just tombs for Pharoahs. They were part of the national religion. And their building was a great unifying project for the nation. It linked them to the “gods”. The great pyramids are laid out in a similitude of the constellation Osiris. Such a great project for something we think as meaningless or foolish now. But, it was not foolishness to them. It was life.
