Did the Philadelphia experiment really happen?

Who can say for sure; the crime scene has been contaminated. The facts as they appear today would suggest not, but like all these conspiracy theories enough facts are mixed with untruths to create a cocktail for conspiracy theorist to get drunk on. If it really did take place then such a thing would clearly be covered up and they would deny it wouldn’t they. However it does seem a little far fetched but I would hesitate to say that it can’t happen: ‘there are more things than are dreamt in your philosophy’ ..and all that. I have to say that the person who thought up such a scenario and men being fused into the bulk heads must have had a very good imagination.
