Did the Kenwood and Stockyards branches run over streets or alleys and are there any remnants left?

These branches ran over their own right-of-way for most or all of their own lengths. The Kenwood actually ran in the r-o-w of the Chicago Junction Railway, who ran freight from the Illinois Central Railroad along the lake shore to the Stock Yards; they ran side-by-side on a solid fill embankment that roughly paralleled 40th Street. The Stock Yards likewise mostly ran over a private right-of-way, except in the Stock Yards, where it did run over “streets”. I say “streets” in quotes because they could barely be called streets; there were livestock roaming in them and they were barely passable by vehicles. There are really no good remnants left: a few rusty poles here and there along the Stock Yards route, but I hear some of the embankment of the Kenwood still exists. I have yet to personally investigate it, though.
