Did the japanese almost have nuclear bomb capacity at the end of world war two?

Actually, they kinda did. You see, the Germans had started developing nuclear technologies years before the Allies. However due to a miscalculation* they decided they didn’t have enough Uranium for a bomb. As such, they pretty much just started irradiating things. They had planed to drop radiated sand all over a city, New York from Europe or San Fran from the East. However, seeing the end was near for Germany, they packed a submarine full of technologies, Uranium, rocket designs, and even a dismantled jet. However, as they were crossing the Atlantic, they got word of the surrender and docked in an American port. As such, the Japanese never received the supplies. However, the Japanese attack was planed to take place 3 days after we dropped out bomb. So the decision was actually rather important. Considering they didn’t know if Japan had more or not, the choice seemed inevitable. I hope this has helped. *The lead scientist claimed that he intended the mistake to happen, but it’s unconfir
