The government was directed to implement it by the EEC,otherwise it would not have been legislated.Since then it has caused no end of problems to our anti terrorist laws,as those caught and convicted always cry human rights when they try to deport them after been released from prison.Also the illegal immigrants are now using the same defence.This is my own opinion which may differ from others.
