Did the CIA do their job properly leading up to the events that transpired on 9/11 ?
Individual agents were doing a good job. The security agency as a group did a terrible job. The CIA had one piece of the puzzle (and they let GW know their part of it). The NSA had the other pieces of the puzzle. They didn’t talk to each other. For political territory reasons, for security reasons, for politicians interfereing with their ability to do their job reasons. If the two agencies had been allowed to share information and talk to each other, they would have figured it out in a short time, reacted to it, and been able to stop it.
