Did the child actors from “To Kill a Mockingbird” ever make any more movies?
Both of the actors who played the Finch children in “To Kill a Mockingbird” went on to make several other movies, though neither pursued serious acting careers. Mary Badham was chosen to play the character of Scout Finch from over 2,000 young actresses, and picked up an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She performed in only two more films but had some roles in “Dr. Kildare” and “Twilight Zone.” She eventually married and now lives with her family near Richmond, Virginia. Incidentally, she’s the sister of John Badham, the director of “Saturday Night Fever.” Philip Alford, who played Scout’s brother Jem Finch, has a handful of film and television credits but is now a businessman in Birmingham, Alabam
