Did the Chicago Fire Just enter the Dark Ages?

Think about it. When Blanco leaves Chicago still has its DP to use. Chicago will land a quality player (one most likely younger that will be more affective, Blanco is slow and only scores when given a PK). The player Chicago can’t afford to lose is McBride. They will not find another player for the same amount of money ($385K) with the leadership and skill that McBride has. Chicago can easily find another DP for $2,943,702. Chicago obviously needs to offer Pappa more than his current $42,000. He is the type of player they should build around. Besides like others have stated Chicago Fire always find a way to be competitive. Chicago has only had two losing seasons; 2002 & 2004. I see no reason to think Chicago will enter the “Dark Ages”.
