Did the british army hate the US army?
One of the opportunities we have is to encourage foundational principles as fought for by our founding fathers and all those who fought for freedom in the Revolutionary War. While the emotions obviously run high with all that is at stake, there is a need to distinguish between “the person” and “the beliefs”. What I believe is important to keep in mind that we can agree to disagree, but what is not productive is promoting hate. My challenge has been how to learn to distinguish “the message” from “the messenger” and I would hope that we can love the person(s) in spite of their beliefs. I don’t believe the British army hated the US army, I believe individuals on both sides did what they believed was right. You can hate war without hating those who fight in the war.
