The Event Center was initially designed to provide conference and meeting room spaces, house the foundation office and provide space for alumni offices. The alumni offices were added once the fund raising campaign to build a new alumni facility fizzled out in between the demolition of the Bryan House and the creation of the Alumni-Foundation Event Center. The foundation board decided in honor of alumni support of the university and foundation it was quite fitting to name the facility the Alumni-Foundation Event Center where all Aggies are welcome to use the facility.
