Did terry fox fox have a rotationplasty that failed?

He was amputated though the femur. I had a failed van ness rotation in 2008 ( 17 years after the first surgery) the last remains of the failed van ness rotationplasty was removed and I joined the ranks of Transfemoral amputees. I’m pretty sure Terry Fox didn’t have a botched rotationplasty, if he had I’m sure one of my buddies would have been all ” Dude you and terry have something in common.

Terry Fox suffered from Osteosarcoma – a cancer of the bone – in his right knee. As a result, his leg was amputated above the knee. This was a common treatment at the time. Research and treatment have come a long way in the last 30 years, in part due to his legacy Marathon of Hope.
