Spike Lee was in Venezuela recently, and it appears he has been defending the Venezuelan (mostly white) elites that own most of the private media in Venezuela and get U.S. government backing in their relentless campaign against the democratic government of Hugo Chavez. These elites and their U.S. backers were involved in the attempted coup of April 2002.
