I have tried for hours to install debian on my 1000H, following the wiki from debian site: http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/ I tried all the suggestions: – The image made especially for eee by Debian: at the middle of the install, error during the step “Select and Install software”: “installation step failed. You can try to run the failing item again from the menu, or skip it”. – Standard installer: perfect but the network drivers are not recognized in this install. So Debian suggests: “Get the atl2 module packages and the required new linux-image packages for the kernel to be installed from a Debian mirror: atl2-modules-2.6-686 atl2-modules-2.6.24-1-686 linux-image-2.6-686 linux-image-2.6.24-1-686 (or another version of your choice).” But the provided links do not exist anymore. So, in the first case, error, and in the second case, no way to install the network drivers. Did someone succeed for the 1000h?
