Yes, I agree. Sidney Poitier grew up when the times of racism throughout our nation was really running rampant. In fact, in many states, at the time, it was illegal to have an interracial marriage. However, through Poitier’s films, many have learned and realized the changes of racial discrimination, and segragation was diminishing, almost disappearing, after the late 60’s, since it was slowly becoming more of a unity of races and less violent. He made films that would open the minds of the negative and open their hearts to be more mindful of others emotions. Obama…he is sadly very racist in his campaign and that’s the first time I have ever seen this happen in the Presidential campaign, where the two parties and the American people are so divided in their minds and hearts! It is truly sad!!! It really shows the signs of the times!!! If you were to compare the two…Poitier made a good change happen between the two races. Obama did just the opposite, made it impossible for them!!!
