Did Orlando Bloom have a stunt double in the Lord of the Rings trilogy?
Don’t quote me on it, but I remember hearing in a Making Of documentary that he did as many of the stunts himself as they would allow. Orlando Bloom isn’t the toughest looking dude in the world, but he is a sort of daredevil as far as actors go. There were certain scenes where they used doubles (I think the shield-surfing scene in the Battle of Helm’s Deep in The Two Towers was one of them), but for the most part it was him.
