Did Obama Overstep His Presidential Powers and Impeach through an informal Censure the Supreme Court during the State of the Union Address? There was a joint meeting of both houses, Senate and House. He publicly, before both houses took issue with the Supreme Court for a recent ruling concerning corporations being allowed participation in the election process. He further called on Congress to pass a bill “as soon as possible” to negate the recent ruling of the Supreme Court. This is a flagrant demonstration and abuse of the presidential powers as outlined in the Constitution.
