Did Nietzsche really overcome nihilism…or visa versa?

He didn’t feel the need to overcome nihilism and I don’t think that nihilism overtook him (although many do think so) – I think he took a basic idea and expanded upon it. He basically lived by the principles that nothing matters except our abilities to create ourselves since our hereditary curses and assets, mixed with our upbringing do not have to define who we are as individuals. So anybody who thinks and analyzes to the point of Neitzsche will appear to be insane to the masses, but appearances are oftentimes very deceiving.
