Did Mozarts music use a mask?
I am a composer myself and a former concert pianist and Mozart, outside of Chopin, was my prefered composer. Mozart, unlike Chopin the Romanticist, was a true Classical composer and True Classical music [the layman calls everything from Baroque to Modernist Classical, but that is an error] is based on Classical Theory of Music and Classical Harmonies which are simple and majestic. The Romantic composers like Chopin, Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Liszt expressed Emotion and broke the rules of Classical Harmonies and types left and right. Emotion dominates the Romanticists, yet they are all different. Mendelssohn “sings” while Liszt “thunders” while Chopin is lovely in despair and Beethoven rants and raves in his later music. Yet, I’d rather hear Beethoven rant and rave than just about any modern music!! Beethoven at his worst was more brilliant than most at their best! Mozart, and perhaps Bach were the only two that could stand shoulder to shoulder with a giant like Beethoven. I’ve
