Did Montressor feel guilty after killing Fortunato in “The Cask of Amontillado”?

His crime was premeditated. Montressor felt as if Fortunato had insulted (can’t remember what it was) him and beacuse of the family motto, felt justified. Also, he didn’t really kill Fortunato as much as burying him alive.
