Did Mike play Zildjian cymbals at one time?
Mike did in fact use Zildjian cymbals up until the time that he inked a contract with Sabian, which was in late 92 or perhaps early 93 ( it was after the I&W tour had begun, but it was well before they hit Europe for the first time). His biggest reason for using Zildjians was because Neil Peart used them, but money talks and when offered the deal with Sabian, Mike took it. That said, likely Mike wouldn’t still be with Sabian today if he wasn’t happy with everything Sabian does for him – chances are, Mike could easily get a deal with Zildjian *if* he really wanted to, much as he went back to Tama after playing Mapex for a little while.
