How interesting! My kids and I just watched a travel channel special on McDonald’s recently. It began as a hamburger stand in San Bernardino, CA by Dick and Mac McDonald; later Ray Kroc opened the first franchise in Des Plaines, IL The special highlighted a man’s journey around the world focusing his travels on locations where he can visit the world’s most unique and unusual McDonald’s restaurants. My kids and I were most excited by the fact that they featured two that we live near and a few others that we have actually visited also!
