Did McCain give up secrets while held prisoner?
I don’t think that’s a question we have a right to ask, sitting nice and cozy in front of our computers here. I don’t like McCain’s policies (or lack thereof), and have no intention of voting for him. But I have absolutely no stomach for people trying to insinuate that he’s somehow un-American because he may have spilled under extreme duress. I respect most Rolling Stone articles as revealing and innovative (particularly Matt Taibi’s), but this one disappoints me with its insuation that McCain is unworthy because of what may or may not have occurred during his time as POW. There are plenty of relevant reasons he’s not fit to be president – people (and this article) should stick to those and lay off the war years. Unless of course, they themselves have served.
I read most of the link you posted and quite frankly it made me angry and sick to my stomach! First off, I am a Vietnam vet and I don’t care for McCain’s politics personally, but the article is completely biased and makes several innuendos about McCains patriotism which I find distasteful! He served with honor and dignity as most Vietnam vets did! Ask any veteran of that war and they will tell you that one of their greatest fears was being taken prisoner by the enemy! McCain endured treatment that would have broken most men ! Attack his politics all you want, but his service should not be disrespected..
You try being under the conditions he was an see how long you last. I’m not condoning it but at the same time I can’t condemn it. If he did give up secrets it’s not like he was a Benedict Arnold and did so willingly. I’d love to see you and those who think like you bear up under what he did. lol Ash when I read your post and saw the thing about ACORN, and got to the part where it said”sway more votes” I thought it said, “squirrel away more votes,” and I was like, LMAO.
look there all skilled slick politicians even obama they all lie always have always will thats life ALL OF THEM he was a prisoner of a other country he got captured SERVING USA.obama has never been in a situation like that come get some morals and respect and for both men and lets worry about there views and keep kid like comments and questions to your self.sorry did not mean to ofend you in any way
