Did John F. Kennedy write his own inaugural address or did speech writer write it for him?
Answer Hi Peg, All Modern President, including Kennedy use speech writers. Pres. Kennedy’s inaugural address is usually credited to Ted Sorensen. Of course, the speech writer does not work alone and then just hand the speech to the President. Speeches are collaborative efforts where the President has a great deal of input. Especially on important speeches like an inaugural address, there are probably dozens of people who review it and propose changes, additions, or deletions. I hope this helps!
