Did Indian teams bowlers look like club level bowlers yesterday?
Club level did you say? I thought it was even worse. The present Indian team is tailored to M.S. Dhoni’s desire of having a side packed with youngsters. The team or its captain is clueless as to what to do in crunch situations. As long as they win, no questions are raised. But when they lose miserably, some logical questions are bound to be raised. Why should there be no experienced players in the side who can guide the team in demading circumstances? M.S. Dhoni for all his tall talk, lacks the kind of experience that a Ganguly or a Dravid or a Tendulkar has. Dhoni rode to victory in the Tri-Series in Australia on the back of Sachin’s experience and excellence. And hence he is cautious when it comes to Sachin. But Ganguly or Dravid didn’t get an opportunity to play in that series in accordance with Dhoni’s wishes, even though they were in form.
