A7. That is correct. Under ordinary circumstances, freshmen and sophomores who live within Ironwood Ridge high school boundaries, should be attending Ironwood Ridge high school. If some of those freshmen and sophomores are permitted to open enroll at CDO, they must arrange for their own transportation. Any student who lives within the attendance area for given high school (and lives more than 1 miles from the school) is eligible for district transportation without regard to high school grade level. Students with special needs are eligible for district transportation regardless of the distance they live from their school. Once Ironwood Ridge high school opens, there will still be juniors and seniors who attend CDO, but live within the boundaries of Ironwood Ridge high school.
