Did Goodyear build a softer tire for Rockingham, and will they outdate the notes from past races?
I don’t really have the answer to that. Rockingham is a track that has always presented problems to Goodyear, even when they were trying to build a tire that would stay long, stay fast. It was always a difficult track. Rockingham is a track where tire management has been important. What I think the goal is with the new tire is to make it where you have to come in and get four tires under caution. So, they want to see the field jumbled up. New tires mean speed, which means that guys will be passing the guys that didn’t get tires. They want to see it mixed up in that respect. Rockingham was a place that didn’t need any help. When the caution comes out, you are going to come get tires at Rockingham. That’s just a given. So I don’t know if Rockingham is the place to compare the new tire to last year’s tire.
