Did God make a Covenant with David concerning the everlasting continuance of his Kingdom?
Yes; He promised to give him a son who should sit on His throne for ever, and set up a Kingdom in Israel that should have no end; and that David should see it with his eyes, and have a place therein. Proof: Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
