God made ALL the animals prior to the 6th 24 hour period of darkness followed by a period of light, then crowned His creation with that of Man as the last creative act on the 6th period of “evening and morning” days. ALL animals existed at least right up until the flood, but the life span of ALL life on earth after the flood was drastically reduced. Since dinosaurs are basically lizards that continued to grow for 100’s of years, it only makes sense that these same lizards can never live long enough to become big enough to be called a “dinosaur” any more. This is also true of turtles, alligators, and certain types of fish, to name a few. Furthermore, over the years, some animals have become extinct, such as the dodo bird. The extinction of the dodo bird doesn’t equate the dodo bird as an animal that pre-existed mankind, so why should the disappearance of OTHER animals imply that they pre-existed mankind?
