America was affected by 1931 economic crisis, and its impact on US economy was very much clear, and banking system on the verge of collapse, there is a rising unemployment , closure of many a number of industrial houses. In such a situation, US President FDR after a thourough discussion with the best minds of America, devised a plan called “New Deal”, to revive the US economy. As a result of ‘new deal’, the US government intervened and financed largely for the construction of new roads, encouraged community labour only to provide employment to the unemployed youth. By doing so FDR revived the US economy, and he also gave interest free or low interest loans to banks to operate regularly. In this manner FDR has done a great service to America through his new deal programme.
