Did Fergie Go Overboard?
Lets face it. Coaches and referees do not get along. No matter what. The pair is similar to dogs and cats, cowboys and Indians, rain puddles and dry clothes, train tracks and aimless walkers, and Emmanuel Adebayor and Arsenal fans. In other words, they just don’t go together no matter what you try to do. Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has more coaching awards then just about any other living person. He is probably the most respected individual in the Premier League for his accomplishments (that span decades mind you) and still today he is considered at the top of his coaching game. So why are so many people calling foul? Because even a legend like Fergie can take things a little bit too far. Here is what Ferguson had to say regarding one of the officials in his match last week: I was disappointed with the referee. He was not fit enough for a game of that standard. The pace of the game demanded a referee who was fit. You see referees abroad who are as fit as butchers’ dogs. We
