Did Fedor miss his ride?
The dust has now cleared since the demolition that was the collapse of what we now know as Affliction’s attempt at running an MMA promotion. A lot of questions have been answered, such as; the destination of many of the fighters, including the world’s top mixed martial arts free agent, Fedor Emelianenko. There are also many questions that remain unanswered, for example, “Did Fedor make the correct decision to spur the number one MMA promotion in the world, to sign with a little-known rival?” We may never find all the answers, but it doesn’t hurt to speculate as to the pros and cons of this historical decision. It has been over a week since “The Last Emperor” signed on the dotted line of the paper with the Strikeforce letterhead on it, and many fans a still scratching their head trying to figure out what happened. Not saying that Strikeforce is a terrible destination for any fighter, including the number one ranked heavyweight in the world. But, does it really compare, in any way, shape
