Did Clinton Win Ohio on A Double Lie?
It now turns out that not only was the NAFTA-gate story that helped Clinton win Ohio a lie, but it now appears that the Clinton campaign lied by saying one thing in public and another in private (to the Canadians). As reported in the Globe & Mail, the Canadian Prime Minister’s chief-of-staff publicly stated, prior to factually incorrect CTV story that hurt Obama, that “someone from (Hillary) Clinton’s campaign is telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt. . . That someone called us and told us not to worry.” This is exactly the charge she (and John McCain) kept making against Obama in the critical few days before Ohio voted. What chutzpah she has! She castigated Obama for doing something she had already done. And what bad luck he had since it’s now turned out that he never did it.
