Did Brett Favres family really reserve the Midway Motor Lodge in Green Bay on Nov 1?”
Brett Favre’s family is ready for his return to Green Bay if he plays for the Minnesota Vikings. Favre’s family and friends have booked 25 to 30 rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge near Lambeau Field for the weekend of the Vikings game against the Green Bay Packers on Nov. 1. Midway manager Doug Warpinski says the quarterback’s family and friends routinely stayed at the hotel for home games in Favre’s final years with the Packers. Given the uncertainty of Favre’s return for a 19th season, family and friends would be off the hook if Favre remains retired. They don’t have to guarantee payment for the rooms until 45 days before check-in. When Favre retired in February for the second time, he blamed a partially torn biceps tendon for his poor play late in the season with the New York Jets. ESPN has reported Favre had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder in May.
Brett Favre’s family reserved 25-30 rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge (which is close to Lambeau Field) for the weekend of the Vikings game against the Packers on November 1st. So they did reserve a large portion of the Motel, but this is all dependent upon if he joins the Vikings. The family can cancel those reservations up to 45 days before the game so it’s at no risk to them.
If Brett Favre signs to play quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings in the next week or two, his family and friends will be ready for his one game back in Green Bay. About two months ago, a member of Favre’s inner circle blocked off 25 to 30 rooms at the Midway Motor Lodge near Lambeau Field for the weekend of the Vikings game against the Packers on Nov. 1. FAVRE UPDATE: Mariucci says QB intent on playing for Vikings VIKINGS’ SCHEDULE: Nov. 1 stop one of two dates against Packers Favre appears to be considering joining the Vikings, contingent upon the recovery of the torn biceps muscle in his throwing arm. But friends and family members have been preparing for a while for his possible signing with the Vikings. “They called and said if he goes to Minnesota they definitely want to be at the game,” said Doug Warpinski, the manager of the hotel in Ashwaubenon, Wis.
