Did Breckenridge Colorado(CO) voters weigh marijuana, driving rules in municipal elections?

Breckenridge legalizes pot; Denver rejects impound measure aimed at illegal immigrants By Associated Press 9:47 AM MST, November 4, 2009 DENVER (AP) — The final tally shows 71 percent of Breckenridge voters wanted to make marijuana legal, while 69.5 percent in Denver didn’t want to force police officers to seize cars from people caught driving without a license. The unofficial results from Tuesday’s municipal elections were very close to the numbers reported in early returns. Dozens of Colorado municipalities held elections in low-turnout races. Tax hikes or extensions across the state were rejected in many places as voters seemed in an anti-government mood. The Denver ballot question would have stepped up impoundments for unlicensed drivers. And in Breckenridge, the pot vote means that starting next year, it will be legal for adults over 21 to possess up to 1 ounce of marijuana. Sources: ht
