During an interview on The Doctor Phil Show, she told the audience that she truly believes it was her daughter’s voice. “You could hear a voice in the background say, ‘Mom, help me,’ and then a few seconds later, regular household activity and hang up,” Dave Holloway, Natalee Holloway’s father, said. The stunning new development in the five-month-old mystery raises the possibility that the 18-year-old student may not have been murdered, but is being held somewhere against her will. However, since the show aired, Twitty has told WSFA 12’s NBC affiliate in Birmingham that the voice probably wasn’t her daughter’s but she was still holding out hope.
