Did benito Mussolini belive that the italian race and culture was superior?
It’s not true that Mussolini was known for not discriminating against minorities. For these reasons: 1) Since the beginning of his dictatorship (1922), everything not ethnically Italian was banned. Italians with foreign first names or last names were forced to change there names. Linguistic minorities were ignored and forced to use Italian language (or an Italian dialect) in public. 2) In 1938, following an alliance with Nazi Germany, Italy adopted some racial laws, that ousted Jews and non-ethnically Italians from professions (professors, doctors, lawyer, etc), and in several ways discriminated Italians according to race, but without any kind of physical violence. 3) In the Autumn of 1943, after Italy signed an armistice with allied powers (USA, UK, and others) to end the war, Germany invaded Italy and started to apply to Italy the same extermination of minorities he was applying to Germany.
