A 21-year-old man who was shot dead in Chadderton today has been described as “one in a million” by family and friends. Junaid Khan was gunned down in the car park at Block Lane surgery at about 12.10am this morning. He suffered serious wounds to his leg and groin and was rushed to the Royal Oldham Hospital but died a short time later. Junaid’s cousin, 24-year-old student Awais Ali said the whole community was in shock. “Junaid was like a brother to me and I can’t understand why anyone would do this,” he said. “Nobody can understand it. “I saw him two nights ago and we went out to get something to eat. He was happy as always. “He’s the most loveliest guy you can ever come across and was very much a family man. He was very close to his mum and he would often go home early to look after her as she was ill. “He talked about his mum a lot to his friends. We went to see her this morning and she was devastated.
