Did auto accident trends reveal Toyota problems?
Many victims of auto accidents involving a recalled Toyota vehicle are frustrated by repeated news stories that crash trends revealed speed control problems with Toyota cars, trucks and SUVs years ago. Why wasn’t more action taken back then, so that the lives, property, and well-being of so many Americans could have been saved? That is the million dollar question. According to a report in USA Today, analysis of data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration over the last 10 years shows that since 2004 speed control problems have been more common for Toyota vehicles than for other large automakers.
