It was on This Morning, not GMTV. I saw it and it referred to herbal medicines like raspberry leaf tablets. The point really was not to take any herbal remedies which to me raspberry leaf tea isn’t, its a drink. They say not to take sage tablets or oil as well but you can have the herb in food, like sage and onion stuffing so I think that you’re alright with raspberry leaf in its tea form, technically being culinary, just steer clear of the tablets. Apparently it can increase the risk of pre eclampsia in mothers who are predispositioned to it already. I’m 31 weeks and I’m going to start drinking the tea next week. It certainly did me no harm with my first pregnancy when I took one cup of tea and two tablets a day on the recommendation of my midwife!
