Did anyone used Acupressure to induce labor?

You might find a doula that is knowledgeable in accupressure points. THere are several. Two in particular are helpful. There is one in the inside of the leg above the ankle. Another is on the tip of the big toe. Its very important to have sustained, strong, probably painful pressure on these points to have it work at all. This is difficult to do if you try to do it yourself. I used this during my labor. My water had broken but contractions weren’t starting really quickly. My doula put intense pressure on the bigtoe points (which are said to stimulate the pituitary, responsible for oxytocin release). With each pressure session, I had a MAJOR contraction. After about 15 minutes, I was in active labor. Nothing really works if your body isn’t already at the tipping point.
